12 Civilians arrested over communal clashes in Chereponi District
Police have arrested 12 civilians in connection with a clashes at Chereponi District between Gbalo and Kukpong communities all in the North East Region Ghana.
The 12 were arrested in an intelligence-led operation on August 24, 2022.
The clash that happened a month ago led to several houses being torched and the killing of livestock.
It took the intervention of the Ghana Police to prevent the loss of life and also restore calm to the area.
The police statement said the suspects will be arraigned before Court on August 25, 2022.
